18" gooseneck podium microphone

Ideal Use Cases

The Audix ADX18 is perfect for settings where consistent, clear speech capture is crucial. Whether at a podium during a lecture or in a boardroom during a high-stakes meeting, this microphone is engineered to excel in environments where the speaker stays in a fixed position. Its 18-inch gooseneck design conveniently positions the microphone close to the speaker, allowing for hands-free operation and seamless interaction with presentation materials.

Its applications span from podium speeches to teleconferencing, ensuring that voices are captured with clarity while minimizing ambient noise interference. This makes it an excellent choice for conference rooms, lecture halls, and teleconferencing suites.

Why Choose This Model

The ADX18 stands out with its combination of a professional condenser microphone and an adaptable 18-inch gooseneck. This design is particularly beneficial in scenarios where microphone placement needs to be flexible, adapting to different speaker heights and podium configurations. The cardioid polar pattern is a pivotal feature, focusing on the speaker and reducing background noise.

Audix’s engineering ensures that this model offers reliable performance in environments filled with ambient activity, such as busy conferences or bustling meeting rooms. Its focus on isolating the speaker’s voice makes it particularly relevant for settings where clarity and precision are imperative.

Installation and Integration

The ADX18 is designed for straightforward integration into any professional setting. Ideal for installation at podiums, in conference rooms, or as part of teleconferencing setups, its flexible gooseneck allows precise positioning to ensure optimal sound capture. While specific mounting and power requirements are not detailed, these should be verified based on your system’s needs to ensure seamless operation.

Consideration of the cardioid pattern during installation will maximize the microphone’s effectiveness, ensuring it accurately targets the intended speaking area and minimizes unwanted noise.

Performance Highlights

The ADX18 utilizes a condenser microphone element known for capturing detailed audio, essential for high-quality speech reproduction. Its uniformly controlled cardioid polar pattern is a key performance feature, focusing pickup on the speaker while effectively isolating their voice from ambient sounds.

• 18-inch gooseneck for adaptable positioning
• Cardioid polar pattern for focused sound capture
• Designed for podiums, presentations, meetings, and teleconferencing

These attributes make it an ideal component for systems demanding clear, focused audio capture.

What Makes It Different

The ADX18 is specifically designed for fixed-position speech applications, distinguishing it from general-purpose microphones. Its 18-inch gooseneck and cardioid pattern are tailored to environments where speech clarity is paramount. This specialization allows it to deliver consistent performance across multiple related applications, from formal presentations to remote discussions.

By focusing on a professional miniature condenser design, the ADX18 ensures that each spoken word is captured with precision, making it a reliable tool for any professional audio setup.
