Panasonic REQ12 Overview

Featuring a brightness of 12,000 ISO lumens, standard-throw lens, 4K on-screen resolution, and 240 Hz projection capability, the PT-REQ12BU is ideal for demanding commercial applications, like museums and small to midsize entertainment venues.

Connect devices via HDMI and DisplayPort with support for 4K HDR and HDCP 2.3. It is LAN and RS-232 controllable and compatible with many popular 3rd party functions, such as Crestron Connected, AMX DD, and PJLink. It can be installed in any orientation to cover a wide-range of uses and tricky installations. Additionally the PT-REQ12BU is TAA compliant.

UHD 4K via Panasonic’s Quad Pixel Drive
The REQ12 Series projectors feature a Quad Pixel Drive, Panasonic’s 2-axis pixel quadrupling technology, to create deep, smooth, and detailed 4K images. It supports 240 Hz projection and works with their optional real-time tracking projection-mapping system. Evolved Dynamic Contrast includes new scene-recognition circuitry to make the difference between black, white, and contrasting colors stand out dramatically and bring your content to life.
Professional Reliability
The REQ12 Series features an hermetically sealed optical block with all-liquid cooling, enabling 20,000 hours of maintenance-free projection. To prevent interruptions, Backup Input switches to a secondary signal without screen-blanking if the primary is disrupted, while a Multi Laser Drive Engine prevents brightness loss in the unlikely event of diode failure.
Effortless Workflow, Improved Expandability
The PT-REQ12BU responds to complex productions with expanded functions, interfaces, and options that streamline workflow. A new line of lenses improve native contrast, add powered peripheral focus, and expand the lens-shift range. An Intel SDM-specified slot integrates proprietary or third-party function boards to adapt and scale connectivity. You can import custom test patterns, use NFC function to prep for network connection without AC power, and save time with preactivated upgrade kits for Geo Pro software.
NFC Projector Prep
Using a mobile device and NFC technology, you can prepare your projector without it even being powered on. Tap the decal on the PT-REQ12BU to use the Smart Projector Control app to adjust settings that can then be applied when the projector is finally setup and powered on. This feature also lets you restore the PT-REQ12BU to factory defaults when powered off.
