Sharp XP-V801U-B WUXGA 8000-Lumen Laser LCD Projector (Body Only, Black)

The Sharp XP-V801U-B is a black WUXGA projector that combines an 8,000-lumen brightness rating with a laser light source and LCD display technology. This specific configuration is supplied without a lens. That distinction is essential when comparing models or preparing a purchase, because the required lens is not identified in the provided product information and must be addressed separately as part of the installation plan.

Ideal Use Cases

This model is best considered for projects whose core requirements specifically call for WUXGA resolution, 8,000-lumen output, laser illumination, and LCD imaging. It is also relevant when a complete installation is being planned around a lens that will be obtained separately. Since no lens is included, the XP-V801U-B should be evaluated as one component of a larger projection system rather than as a ready-to-install package.

The available data does not specify projection distance, image size, environmental rating, or mounting orientation. Buyers should therefore match the stated fundamentals to their project requirements while confirming all site-dependent details before ordering.

Why Choose This Model

The XP-V801U-B presents a clearly defined combination of four principal specifications: WUXGA resolution, 8,000-lumen brightness, a laser light source, and LCD display technology. These details make it straightforward to identify whether the projector aligns with an existing specification, replacement requirement, or planned system design. The black finish and exact XP-V801U-B model designation further distinguish this version when coordinating equipment lists and purchase documentation.

Because the listing identifies the projector as a no-lens configuration, buyers are not paying for an unspecified bundled lens. However, the provided source data does not identify compatible lenses or lens-selection criteria, so compatibility must be confirmed independently.

Installation and Integration

Lens planning is the most important installation consideration for this configuration. Throw ratio, zoom, focus, and horizontal or vertical lens-shift capabilities are not supplied in the available data. Those values depend on confirmed product and lens information and should not be assumed from the projector title alone. Establish the required image size, mounting position, and projection distance, then verify an appropriate compatible lens before completing the system order.

The provided information also does not list dimensions, weight, mounting options, keystone correction, operating noise, power requirements, inputs, network connections, wireless capability, or control interfaces. Integrators should verify these items directly against current documentation when preparing mounting hardware, signal distribution, electrical service, control programming, or equipment-rack plans.

Performance Highlights

The stated brightness is 8,000 lumens, while the identified resolution format is WUXGA. Image generation is based on LCD display technology, and illumination is provided by a laser light source. Together, these are the confirmed performance characteristics available for the XP-V801U-B.

No contrast ratio, color-gamut measurement, uniformity figure, HDR capability, refresh rate, input-lag value, or laser-life rating is included in the supplied data. These characteristics should remain open verification points if they affect the intended application. The listing does not support additional claims about color accuracy, maintenance intervals, operating life, or video-processing performance.

What Makes It Different

The defining feature of this particular SKU is its no-lens configuration. That separates it from projector packages that include a predetermined lens and makes lens selection an explicit part of procurement. The exact model number, XP-V801U-B, should be used throughout quotation, compatibility, and ordering checks to avoid confusion with other configurations or finishes.

Its specification is otherwise concise: black housing, WUXGA resolution, 8,000-lumen output, laser illumination, and LCD imaging. No accessories, built-in audio specifications, warranty terms, or included-box contents are documented in the provided source data.

Final Assessment

The Sharp XP-V801U-B is a focused projector configuration for buyers who require its stated WUXGA, 8,000-lumen, laser LCD specification and intend to account for the lens separately. Its core identity is clear, but many installation and connectivity details are not available in the supplied information. Before purchase, confirm lens compatibility and every unlisted requirement that could affect placement, mounting, signal connection, power, control, or operation. When those external requirements are already defined, the XP-V801U-B can be assessed directly against the project’s essential resolution, brightness, light-source, display-technology, finish, and lens-packaging criteria.
