Worship spaces

AV systems for houses of worship

Sanctuaries combine large-room projection, speech-intelligible sound, many microphones, assistive listening and, increasingly, cameras for streaming. Each of those is its own line on the bill of materials.

Committees often need a written, itemized quote to compare options and plan budgets. Use the components below to build that list, then request a quote for the full system or a single phase.

Frequently asked questions

Can a worship AV project be quoted in phases?

Yes. Many congregations upgrade projection, audio and streaming at different times. Ask for the quote to be split by phase so each line can be approved separately, and note which items must be compatible with the later phases.

How many lumens does a sanctuary projector need?

It depends on screen size, ambient light and how much daylight reaches the screen. Large or bright rooms generally need high-brightness installation projectors. Compare manufacturer brightness ratings and throw calculations against your screen size and mounting distance.

Is assistive listening required?

Requirements depend on the venue, its use and local accessibility regulations. Check the codes that apply to your building; product spec sheets list the technology and receiver counts each system supports.
